遊戲中玩家必須在迷宮中找尋出口，而迷宮中的可視範圍狹隘，其他區域是一片漆黑，這更是添加了困難度。遊戲的每一個關卡都有時間限制(畫面右上角的時鐘便是顯示剩餘的時間。)，所以玩家的動作要快，才能順利過關，否則時間一到可就會結束遊戲了。遊戲提供了四位主角讓玩家選擇，玩家可以挑選喜愛的人物來進行遊戲。
遊戲中有些地方會放置鑽石或手工藝品，當玩家拾取後可以獲得積分，不過一切以過關為主，所以如果時間不太夠，要走遠路才能拿到的物品就不要拿了。走迷宮遊戲要順利過關，一個是要靠運氣，因為通路很多，一但走對正確方向，離出口就不遠了。反之走錯方向，要繞遠路浪費很多時間。第二個要依靠記憶能力，哪些路走過找不到出口可要記住，要不然在同地方繞著走也是一樣會浪費很多時間。另外遊戲中會出現補充時間的寶物，玩家如能取得將能增加一些時間。
